MV-1040 update

This fix is for units that cannot read MMC cards. If your unit reads MMC cards DO NOT use this fix.

MV-1040 update fix for MMC support.

Please check your Serial Number label as shown in the diagram.

This fix will only work with MV-1040 models that have the serial numbers starting with the letters MV-

The serial number is situated under the barcode as shown below:

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS FIX IF YOUR UNIT DOES NOT EXPERIENCE AN MMC CARD PROBLEM. PLEASE CALL TECH SUPPORT IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF THE MODEL.

This update will give your frame the ability to play MMC cards.

Please follow the instructions below.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHECKED THE MODEL SERIAL NUMBER AS MENTIONED ABOVE BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS FIX

1. Save the “MMCFIX” file to your computer
2. Extract the file to your desktop
3. Copy the files to a supported memory card other then a MMC
4. Turn your frame OFF
5. Insert the card with update into your frame
6. Turn your frame ON
7. Within the main menu; navigate using the arrows on the remote to TEXT and press ENTER
8. Select the memory card the update is saved to and press ENTER
9. You will then see a list with only the update available labeled “ATHENA” press Enter
10. The screen will flash and display the updating progress.
11. Once the update is finished the frame will display “Update Finished”
12. Cycle the power (OFF/ON)
13. Insert a MMC card, remove and reinsert it. This will active the MMC recognition capability
